Alco Valves Group has been privileged over the last 12 months to have had an individual join the team who was very popular with everyone. Chrysel Mendonsa joined Alco as the Marketing & Media Development Assistant working alongside the Marketing and IT Departments. Some of Chrysel’s responsibilities included developing and updating the company’s social media pages, writing informative articles and news updates, updating the company’s website and carrying out a whole host of other marketing based duties. Chrysel also went beyond her duties as she would often assist the IT Department with various duties including supporting the IT Manager and the IT systems. Chrysel also learnt a vast amount about photography and applied these skills into her work wherever she could. Furthermore, Chrysel learnt a great deal working with Adobe Creative Suite.
Chrysel’s attitude and behaviour were well noted by all in her time with Alco, and she became a shining example of positivity and enthusiasm to all. Damien Archer (IT & Communications Manager) stated:
“We have been very fortunate over the years to receive such hardworking and enthusiastic gap year placement students, and this placement has been no different. Chrysel came into Alco and her excitement, positivity and lovely personality won everyone over. She really is a great individual, has great ethics and morals, and I am sure she will go very far in life and be very successful. I can truly say that her positivity attitude and cheery disposition will be greatly missed.
Chrysel will shortly be returning to the University of Huddersfield to study the final year of her Marketing degree. All at Alco Valves Group would like to wish Chrysel the very best of luck in her bright future and also thank Chrysel for her hard work, effort, and mostly for being such a great person. We would also like to thank the University of Huddersfield for its contribution and working alongside Alco with the placement scheme.
