Here at Alco, we like to give recognition and praise to our number one asset, our staff. From time to time we highlight a staff member at random and find out a little more about what they do here, how long they’ve been with the company and what they think about working at Alco Valves group. This month we will be focusing our attention on Luke Smith, one of our Production Coordinators.
Luke has been a part of Alco for 3 years. As production Coordinator, Luke works closely with staff from various departments of the Shop and Office floors. He follows up on the production process and is committed to updating our customers with their order information. Part of Luke’s role also includes dealing with the documentation for orders.
On asking Luke about the best aspects of his job, he said “I enjoy being active within my role. Being involved not just in the office but out on the shop floor with the team is rewarding. Working at Alco is a constant learning curve, there is always something new to learn here. All the employees are really friendly too, which makes it a great environment to be in”
Previous to Alco, Luke worked in the customer service department of a well-known banking group. He helped with customer complaints via emails, phone calls and letters. Outside of work, Luke finds his interest in football, fitness and snooker and likes reading about subjects such as history.
We are very pleased to have employees like Luke Smith who have an amazing work ethic and a can-do attitude. It definitely goes a long way in making Alco a great place to work and also helps us to go the extra mile to deliver impeccable services to our clients and end users.
