Continued investment in Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

To further better our investment in technology, we now have recently purchased additional versions of Autodesk Inventor Static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) suites.

FEA allows our talented design and development teams to analyse the pressure effects and resultant stress that is created within our products. This alongside the more traditional calculation methods allows us to provide lean, cost effective, and above all safe products to our valued clients.

Engineering supervisor and Sub-Tek lead Engineer Andrew Mayman said, “This software provides us with an unparalleled insight into the finer details of the design. It is also a quick and reliable means to establish stress and deflection levels within the most critical components in our assemblies namely, the seats, balls, stems and bodies.”

The benefit this software provides is already evident with the longevity of some products. These products have been refined through FEA to provide a bubble-tight seal at pressures of up to 10,000 PSI for up to ten times longer than existing designs.

With our consistently increasing investment in technology, we are able to provide FEA reports for our products on request. We continue to make sure that all our products are made to the highest quality standards. With all of these services available at Alco, why go anywhere else?
